Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD (3D) Designer to join our design and execution team. The role involves translating creative concepts and design requirements into accurate, detailed and execution-ready 3D drawings for events, exhibitions, brand activations, experiential spaces and temporary structures.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of spatial design, technical drawings and fabrication requirements, along with the ability to work closely with creative, production and project teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Create and develop detailed 3D layouts, technical drawings and design plans based on creative concepts, project briefs and written or verbal specifications.
Interpret creative concepts, 3D visualizations and design requirements and translate them into accurate, execution-ready CAD drawings.
Prepare detailed drawings for event structures, exhibition stalls, brand installations, stages, booths, kiosks, displays and experiential environments.
Collaborate closely with 3D Visualizers, Creative Designers and Art Directors to understand creative direction and translate concepts into technically feasible designs.
Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed and aligned with project specifications, organizational standards and fabrication requirements.
Work closely with Project Managers, Production Teams and Fabrication Vendors to ensure designs are practical, cost-conscious and executable within timelines.
Review drawings and layouts to identify design, dimensional, technical or compatibility issues and provide appropriate solutions.
Participate in design reviews and contribute technical inputs and alternative design solutions to address project requirements and client expectations.
Incorporate feedback and make timely revisions to drawings based on creative, client, production and site requirements.
Develop alternative design solutions wherever required, balancing aesthetics, functionality, feasibility, materials, cost and timelines.
Conduct site visits and recce to understand site conditions, dimensions, access, structural requirements and execution challenges.
Coordinate with production and fabrication teams during execution to clarify drawings and resolve technical issues.
Maintain and update an organized database of CAD drawings, design files and project records for future reference.
Ensure proper version control and documentation of drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the team with day-to-day CAD requirements and other design-related tasks as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Product/Spatial Design, or a related field is preferred.
3–6 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD, preferably within events, exhibitions, experiential marketing, retail, architecture, interiors or fabrication.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and experience working with 3D drawings and spatial layouts.
Knowledge of 3DS Max or other 3D visualization software will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, dimensions, detailing and execution requirements.
Ability to read, interpret and develop technical drawings from creative concepts and 3D references.
Strong attention to detail with a good balance of aesthetic sensibility and technical accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and spatial understanding skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with creative, project and production teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and work effectively under tight timelines and changing project requirements.
Willingness to travel for site visits and project execution, as required.
