Role Description
The Article Trainee – Chartered Accountant role is an on-site internship position based in Pune City. The trainee will assist in statutory and tax audits, support the preparation and review of financial statements, and help manage direct and indirect tax compliances and filings. Daily tasks may include working with accounting records, reconciling ledgers, preparing working papers, documenting audit procedures, and supporting internal control reviews. The role also involves research on accounting and tax matters, assisting with client queries, and maintaining organized documentation as per firm and regulatory standards. The trainee will work under the guidance of senior team members and partners, gaining hands-on experience relevant to the Chartered Accountancy curriculum.
Qualifications
Candidates should be pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI) and be eligible for articleship.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and ledger management.
Interest in audit, taxation (direct and indirect), and compliance-related work.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial and regulatory information.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with teams and clients.
Ability to work on-site in Pune City, manage deadlines, and handle multiple assignments responsibly.
Willingness to learn, maintain professional ethics, and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
