About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Vice President – Talent Acquisition to lead and transform the organization's talent acquisition strategy across India and potentially global markets.
The VP – Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing a scalable, data-driven talent acquisition function aligned with business growth, workforce planning, employer branding, and long-term organizational strategy.
This role will work closely with the CEO, CHRO, business leaders, HR leadership, and global stakeholders to build a high-performing talent organization capable of supporting complex and rapidly evolving hiring requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy
Develop and execute the organization's enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
Build scalable talent acquisition models to support high-volume, specialized, leadership, and strategic hiring.
Establish talent acquisition priorities across business units, functions, and geographies.
Develop workforce and talent strategies in partnership with HR and business leadership.
Drive the evolution from transactional recruitment to a strategic, data-driven talent acquisition function.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a large, high-performing Talent Acquisition organization.
Build organizational structures, leadership capabilities, and succession plans within the TA function.
Establish clear performance objectives, KPIs, governance mechanisms, and operating rhythms.
Coach and mentor senior TA leaders and build a strong leadership pipeline.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Executive & Strategic Hiring
Oversee hiring strategies for senior leadership, critical skills, niche technology, and business-critical positions.
Partner with executive leadership on succession planning and strategic talent requirements.
Build executive talent pipelines and strengthen leadership hiring capabilities.
Develop relationships with executive search firms and strategic talent partners.
Digital & AI-Enabled Recruitment
Lead the adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and digital recruitment technologies.
Leverage talent intelligence and market data to improve sourcing, engagement, selection, and hiring outcomes.
Drive improvements across candidate experience and recruiter productivity.
Evaluate and implement next-generation recruitment platforms and technologies.
Employer Branding & Talent Engagement
Strengthen the organization's employer value proposition (EVP) and employer brand.
Partner with Marketing and Communications teams to build differentiated talent campaigns.
Develop strategies to attract high-quality talent across competitive talent markets.
Enhance candidate engagement throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Data, Analytics & Governance
Establish a comprehensive Talent Acquisition analytics and reporting framework.
Track metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, offer acceptance, source effectiveness, diversity metrics, and candidate experience.
Use data and market intelligence to identify hiring trends, capacity requirements, and improvement opportunities.
Establish governance and standardized TA processes across the organization.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Partner with business leaders, HRBPs, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other stakeholders.
Manage strategic relationships with recruitment partners, RPO/MSP providers, technology vendors, and external talent ecosystems.
Drive vendor performance, commercial efficiency, and service-level governance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
Master's degree / MBA in HR or a related field is preferred.
15–18 years of progressive Talent Acquisition / Recruitment leadership experience.
Proven experience leading large-scale TA teams in a global MNC, large enterprise, technology organization, or similarly complex environment.
Experience managing large and diverse hiring programs across multiple business functions and geographies.
Strong experience in executive hiring, strategic workforce planning, employer branding, and talent strategy.
Demonstrated experience building and scaling high-performing Talent Acquisition organizations.
Strong understanding of modern recruitment technology, AI-enabled hiring, analytics, and automation.
Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience managing global or regional Talent Acquisition operations.
Experience supporting technology, digital, engineering, BFSI, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environments.
Exposure to Total Talent, RPO, MSP, Direct Sourcing, Contingent Workforce, or Talent Intelligence models.
Experience leading TA transformation or digital recruitment transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of talent-market dynamics and emerging recruitment trends.
