Are you the kind of finance professional who spots the one broken invoice in a batch of hundreds — and can't rest until it's fixed? We're looking for a detail-driven Billing & Compliance Specialist to own end-to-end billing accuracy for a fast-growing US company. You'll process enhancement billing in Sage Intacct, manage monthly contractual invoicing, and keep customer compliance portals running clean and current.
This is a role for someone who loves systems, data, and getting things right the first time. You'll work with large datasets in Excel, investigate billing errors down to the root cause, and become the go-to person for making sure every invoice lands where it should, when it should. YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including large datasets, formulas, and pivot tables
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
A demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, and using technology to streamline workflows
Hands-on experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable operations
Willingness to work a US-hours night shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT) in a fully remote setup
STRONG SIGNALS
Experience with ERP, accounting, or billing systems such as Sage Intacct
Direct experience managing customer invoicing and compliance through platforms such as VendorCafe, ServiceChannel, ISNetworld, Coupa, Oracle, or Paymode-X
Exposure to AR support work: credit memos, payment research, cash application, or account investigations
RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS
Billing Operations
You own accurate, on-time billing from file to delivery.
Process and upload enhancement billing files into Sage Intacct
Generate and distribute monthly contractual maintenance invoices
Prepare PDF invoice files and deliver them to the corporate office for printing and mailing
Research and resolve billing errors and invoice delivery issues
Billing & Compliance Portals
You ensure customer portals stay compliant, current, and audit-ready.
Maintain customer compliance and billing portals
Track invoice approval and payment status within portals
Ensure all required invoices are uploaded before monthly AR calls
Research and resolve portal rejections and related issues
Invoice Delivery Management
You make sure every invoice reaches the right hands.
Monitor Intacct email logs for failed or bounced invoice emails
Verify billing contact information and correct delivery issues
Resend invoices as needed and maintain complete delivery records
Cross-Training & Operational Support
You support the wider AR team wherever the workload demands.
Assist with creating new customer and property records and updating billing contacts
Assist with processing renewals, cancellations, and credit memos during peak periods
Assist with payment research, account investigations, check batch editing, and cash application support
Take on special projects assigned by AR and Finance leadership to support collections, compliance, and process improvement
