Role of an Associate Producer
As an Associate Producer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the end-to-end production of ad films, branded content, and digital projects. The role requires someone who can work closely with Producers, directors, and vendors, including handling clients and agencies while also being capable of independently managing shoots and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities of Associate Producer
Assist Producers in planning and executing projects from pre-production to post-production.
Independently coordinate and manage shoots, ensuring smooth on-ground execution.
Coordinate with clients, advertising agencies, directors, DOPs, crew, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Assist in preparing budgets, estimates, schedules, call sheets, and production plans.
Manage production logistics including locations, casting, crew, equipment, travel, and other shoot requirements.
Source, coordinate, and negotiate with vendors and production partners.
Be actively involved on set and handle day-to-day production requirements and challenges.
Ensure projects are executed within the approved budgets, timelines, and creative requirements.
Coordinate with post-production teams, including editors, VFX, colourists, sound teams, and other vendors.
Maintain clear communication and follow-ups with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of final outputs.
Requirements for an associate producer:
1–3 years of experience in advertising, production, line production, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in ad films, branded content, or commercial productions.
Ability to independently handle and execute shoots from pre-production to completion, including handling clients/agencies.
Strong understanding of the production process and advertising ecosystem.
Excellent coordination, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Proactive, organised, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
Prior experience working with advertising agencies, production houses, or clients is preferred.
