Junior Data Analys

Role Description This is a part-time, remote Junior Data Analyst role supporting community projects related to bioinformatics and computational biology. The Junior Data Analyst will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from community activities, surveys, and online platforms. Day-to-day tasks include performing basic data analysis, generating statistical summaries, and contributing to dashboards or simple visual reports that inform community decisions. The role involves collaborating with organizers to interpret findings, document methodologies, and communicate results clearly to non-technical audiences. The position offers opportunities to learn, receive mentorship, and gain experience in applied data analytics within a scientific community context.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics abilities.
Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Statistics and experience applying statistical concepts to real datasets.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling, including structuring datasets and working with relational or tabular data.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for explaining analysis results to diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with tools such as Python or R for data analysis, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) is beneficial.
Interest in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related scientific fields is highly valued.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate in English or Polish as needed.
Relevant coursework, internships, or project experience in data analysis or a quantitative discipline are an advantage.
