Cyber Transformation Programme Director
Location: Remote
Contract Rate: 1 year freelance contract + Extension
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Transformation Programme Director to lead the delivery of large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation programmes focused on Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and technology-driven business change for our client that is in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of complex cyber and AI transformation programmes across multiple business units.
Define and execute programme strategies aligned with organisational objectives and investment priorities.
Manage programme governance, risk, compliance, financial performance, and resource planning.
Provide executive-level reporting on programme progress, key risks, budgets, and benefit realisation.
Drive measurable improvements in cyber resilience, operational efficiency, security posture, and innovation capability.
Ensure programmes deliver agreed business outcomes while maintaining strong governance and control frameworks.
Build, mentor, and develop high-performing programme and project teams.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
Work closely with senior stakeholders to align transformation initiatives with business strategy.
Champion best practices across programme management, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled transformation.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale technology transformation programmes.
Strong background in Cyber Security transformation and enterprise security initiatives.
Experience leading complex programmes incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.
Proven success delivering multi-million euro transformation programmes within large enterprise environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience engaging C-level executives.
Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, compliance, and financial control.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing delivery teams.
