About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Semarchy MDM Implementation Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Semarchy xDM, xDI, and Snowflake.
The consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting a Master Data Management (MDM) solution built on Semarchy's Unified Data Platform, including Semarchy xDM and xDI, running natively on Snowflake.
The role involves working closely with data stewards, data engineers, and business stakeholders to design, configure, and deploy master data solutions, including match/merge, survivorship, data quality, governance workflows, and integrations between Snowflake and downstream systems.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and extend Semarchy xDM data models, entity views, match/merge rules, survivorship rules, and validation workflows.
Work across master data domains such as Customer, Supplier, Product, and Item.
Design and develop Semarchy xDI integration jobs to load, cleanse, transform, and synchronize data between Snowflake and source/target systems.
Deploy and configure Semarchy xDM as a Snowflake Native App, including roles, warehouses, and data-sharing setup.
Develop and optimize Snowflake SQL, including tables, views, stored procedures, tasks, and streams.
Support MDM staging, publication, and reporting layers within Snowflake.
Collaborate with data governance and business teams to translate data stewardship and data quality requirements into Semarchy configurations.
Build and maintain data quality rules, deduplication logic, hierarchies, and relationship management within Semarchy xDM.
Support UAT, defect triage, performance tuning, release activities, and go-live cutover.
Prepare and maintain documentation including data models, mapping specifications, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to align MDM outputs with the broader Snowflake data platform architecture.
Work independently, manage assigned timelines, and communicate project progress clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with Semarchy MDM / Semarchy xDM, including data model design and match/merge configuration.
Hands-on experience with Semarchy xDI or equivalent ETL/ELT tools for building data integration pipelines.
Strong practical experience with Snowflake – Mandatory.
Strong Snowflake SQL development skills.
Experience with Snowflake warehouse and role management.
Experience with Snowflake performance tuning.
Strong understanding of MDM concepts, including:
Golden Record Management
Match & Merge
Survivorship
Data Stewardship
Data Quality
Data Governance
Hierarchy & Relationship Management
Strong SQL skills with experience working on large and complex datasets across multiple source systems.
Ability to work independently in a contract environment and manage project timelines effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying Semarchy xDM as a Snowflake Native App through the Snowflake Marketplace deployment model.
Experience with Supplier, Procurement, Product, Customer, or Item Master Data domains.
Experience with cloud data platform integrations such as:
Snowflake Tasks/Streams
Fivetran
dbt
Similar orchestration/ETL tools
Semarchy certification(s) or formal MDM/Data Governance training.
Previous experience in MDM consulting or short-term contract implementations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Semarchy MDM and Snowflake, with the ability to independently handle MDM configuration, match/merge, data quality, integration, SQL development, governance workflows, testing, and deployment activities.
Note: Snowflake experience is mandatory for this position.
