Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Resort Manager role based in West Sikkim. The Resort Manager oversees day-to-day operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, supervising performance, handling guest inquiries and escalations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. The role involves monitoring budgets, controlling costs, liaising with vendors, and supporting marketing efforts to increase occupancy and revenue. The Resort Manager also ensures compliance with local regulations, implements service quality improvements, and fosters a positive work environment that supports team development.
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality or resort management, with a strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations.
Skills in staff supervision, team leadership, and performance management, including training and scheduling.
Financial and administrative skills such as budgeting, cost control, basic accounting, and report preparation.
Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback professionally.
Organizational and problem-solving abilities, including task prioritization, attention to detail, and decision-making under pressure.
Comfort with using reservation systems, property management software, and basic office tools (email, spreadsheets, documents).
Relevant education in Hotel Management, hospitality management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Ability to work on-site in West Sikkim, including weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
Knowledge of local tourism dynamics and familiarity with safety, hygiene, and compliance standards is an advantage.
