Role Description The Hydraulic Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of hydraulic systems and equipment, ensuring that solutions meet performance, safety, and reliability standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing hydraulic schematics, sizing components, performing calculations, and preparing detailed engineering documentation. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as mechanical design, production, commissioning, and service to ensure seamless execution from concept to delivery. The Hydraulic Design Manager also engages with customers to understand application requirements, supports project planning and timelines, and drives continuous improvement in hydraulic design practices and standards.
Qualifications
Strong skills in hydraulic circuit design, component selection, and system integration for industrial applications.
Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g., CAD software) and hydraulic analysis/calculation methods.
Knowledge of fluid power principles, industrial standards, safety norms, and best practices for hydraulic systems.
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple design projects to completion.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, prepare BOMs, and generate clear drawings and documentation.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities for complex hydraulic systems.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing technical discussions.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Experience in industrial lubrication, oil purification, or related fluid management systems is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor engineering teams and contribute to process and design improvements.
