Transformers - Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Transformers - Electrical Design Engineer. The role involves designing and developing electrical transformer systems and components, including preparation of detailed design documents, drawings, and specifications. The engineer will perform calculations related to electrical loads, insulation coordination, losses, and power distribution, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting prototype development and testing, resolving design issues, and optimizing transformer performance and reliability. The role also requires participation in design reviews, documentation updates, and providing technical support to manufacturing, quality, and field service teams.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for transformers and related systems.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity principles, including power systems and high-voltage applications.
Candidates should possess understanding of Power Distribution, load flow, and protection coordination relevant to transformer design and integration.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience in transformer or power equipment design, including familiarity with IEC/IS or equivalent standards.
Proficiency with CAD and electrical design software tools and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to safety and quality requirements.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, and willingness to work on-site in an industrial environment.
