Platform Engineer (SC Cleared)
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: Up to £325 per day
Location: Remote
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We're supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for 2 x Platform Engineers to join a growing cloud engineering team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on the development and enhancement of a modern AWS-based data platform, helping to deliver secure, scalable and reusable infrastructure solutions within a highly collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Building, testing and maintaining core platform components within a cloud-based data ecosystem
Developing infrastructure solutions using Terraform and AWS-native services
Designing and implementing complex infrastructure deployment pipelines
Supporting infrastructure design reviews with a focus on scalability, performance and reusability
Collaborating with senior engineers to improve platform capabilities and engineering practices
Contributing to peer reviews and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices
Essential Skills
Strong experience with Terraform
Proven Python development experience
AWS platform and infrastructure expertise
Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) delivery experience
Strong understanding of engineering standards, code quality and peer review processes
Ability to work effectively within agile delivery teams
Technical Environment

Requirements
Active SC Clearance is essential
Previous experience working within secure or highly regulated environments
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment automation
Ability to contribute to technical design discussions and engineering improvements
This is a fully remote contract offering the opportunity to work on a large-scale cloud platform programme, delivering modern infrastructure solutions that support critical public sector services.
