Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: £40,000, negotiable depending on experience
Healthcare experience would be beneficial to this role
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Analyst to join the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) team.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and third-party suppliers, the role will bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring projects deliver meaningful outcomes that support organisational growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
Investigate business challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, epics and other project documentation.
Support the delivery of technology and business change initiatives using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
Facilitate workshops, meetings and training sessions to engage stakeholders and support successful project outcomes.
Analyse business processes and data to recommend innovative, value-adding solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with project teams, third-party technology suppliers and IM&T colleagues to support successful solution design and implementation.
Produce high-quality documentation and ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards for quality, scope and business value.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying business analysis techniques, process improvement methodologies and best practice.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, with strong skills in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and business process analysis.
Experience working within Agile environments, including writing user stories, facilitating workshops and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Confidence influencing and engaging stakeholders at different levels across an organisation.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
Experience using business analysis and process-mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio and Azure DevOps.
A collaborative and innovative approach, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality business outcomes.
Desirable
A recognised Business Analysis qualification, such as BCS, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge or experience of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Experience supporting technology-enabled business change and working with third-party technology suppliers.
