- Create and maintain clear design documents and specifications.
- Collaborate with developers and artists to ensure features are implemented as intended.
- Prototype, test, evaluate, and refine gameplay ideas.
- Plan and conduct playtests and respond thoughtfully to player feedback.
- Balance progression, difficulty, rewards, costs, character or item values, and game economies.
- Create and maintain balancing models in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Identify balance problems, unintended strategies, and progression bottlenecks.
- Contribute to improving the team’s design processes and workflows.
Qualifications

- Strong general game-design skills across systems, mechanics, progression, levels, and encounters.
- Experience owning gameplay features from concept through release.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for game balancing and numerical design.
- Experience creating spreadsheet models for progression, difficulty, rewards, costs, probabilities, or game economies.
- Strong understanding of player motivation, gameplay loops, pacing, challenge, and reward structures.
- Experience creating clear design documentation and presenting ideas to cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with game-development tools and production workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet production deadlines.
- Experience contributing to a shipped title is strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Roblox Studio and Roblox development workflows.
- Understanding of the Roblox platform, its player audience, and its design constraints.
- Basic Luau scripting, visual prototyping, or technical implementation skills.
- Experience designing and balancing live Roblox games.
- Experience with live content updates and evolving game economies.
- Experience designing for mobile, PC, and console audiences within Roblox.
