Role Description
This is a remote, internship role for a PHP Developer Intern. The intern will assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using PHP and related technologies. Responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, developing backend functionality, working with databases and APIs, debugging applications, and collaborating with the development team.
This role offers hands-on experience in real-world software development, including application development, testing, debugging, API integration, and deployment.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
Work with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter.
Develop and integrate REST APIs.
Work with MySQL databases and write SQL queries.
Assist in developing backend modules and business logic.
Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
Perform testing and ensure application functionality and reliability.
Integrate frontend interfaces with backend APIs.
Use Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and other team members.
Follow coding standards and write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Assist with application deployment and maintenance.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic knowledge of MySQL and SQL queries.
Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
Understanding of MVC architecture is a plus.
Familiarity with Laravel or CodeIgniter is preferred.
Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
