Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes and plugins, to meet project requirements and design specifications. Day-to-day tasks include implementing front-end layouts, optimizing performance, ensuring responsive behavior across devices, and integrating third-party tools and APIs. The role involves collaborating with designers, content teams, and other developers to translate business needs into functional, accessible, and secure web experiences. The WordPress Developer is also expected to troubleshoot issues, maintain code quality, and stay current with WordPress and web development best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in WordPress-focused Web Development and Back-End Web Development, including theme and plugin customization.
Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development and Web Design to create accessible, user-friendly interfaces aligned with project requirements.
Candidates should possess skills in Responsive Web Design to ensure websites function effectively across various devices and screen sizes.
Candidates should have proficiency with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Candidates should demonstrate experience with performance optimization, security best practices, and debugging within WordPress environments.
Candidates should have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective time management to meet project deadlines.
Experience with SEO fundamentals, page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg), and integration of APIs or external services is beneficial.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
