Location: UK – Remote
Job Type: Contract
Travel: Occasional travel within the UK, including London and Manchester, based on project requirements.
Eligibility requirements :
5+ years of UK residency required for this assignment.
Must have the appropriate UK right to work.
BPSS clearance/eligibility is required.
Able to undertake occasional UK travel as required by the project, including London, Manchester, or Newcastle.
Lead Developer – Application Developer | Java & Web Technologies
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer / Java Application Developer to support the refactoring, development and migration of enterprise applications to AWS.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead development activities for application refactoring and modernization.
• Design, develop and assure key application components.
• Develop Java applications as part of an AWS migration programme.
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders within a large programme environment.
• Support application updates, migration and technical implementation.
• Contribute to technical design and application quality.
Required skills:
• Strong experience in Java application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience developing applications being migrated to AWS.
• Experience with application refactoring or modernization.
• Strong software development and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working within large programme environments.
2. Tech Lead – Application Developer | Java & Web Technologies
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Java Application Developer to provide technical leadership across application refactoring, development and migration to AWS.
Key responsibilities
Lead technical delivery for applications being migrated to AWS.
Guide technical design, development and migration activities.
Oversee technical decisions and technical deliverables.
Develop and assure key Java application components.
Work within a large programme environment alongside multiple teams and suppliers.
Support integration design and integration-focused components.
Ensure technical implementation aligns with the overall architecture.
Required skills
Strong Java development experience.
Experience leading technical delivery.
Experience developing Java applications being migrated to AWS.
Strong AWS / cloud migration experience.
Experience working in a multi-supplier environment.
Experience with integration design or integration-focused components.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
