Vice President of AI Technology

Role Description This full-time remote role of Vice President of AI Technology at Creditkash Groupe AFRIKA is responsible for setting the strategic direction and execution of the organization’s AI initiatives. The VP will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that support core business objectives, including credit risk assessment, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing AI research and experimentation, guiding data and engineering teams, reviewing technical architectures, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant AI systems. The role involves collaborating with executive leadership to prioritize AI projects, define KPIs, and manage budgets, as well as mentoring multidisciplinary teams and establishing best practices for model governance, ethics, and performance monitoring. The VP will also stay current with industry trends, evaluate new technologies and vendors, and represent the organization in key internal and external forums related to AI and data innovation.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, software engineering, and system design.
Proficiency in Data Science and Analytics, with experience in statistical modeling, data pipelines, and data-driven decision making.
Expertise in Pattern Recognition and machine learning techniques used to identify trends, anomalies, and predictive signals.
Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including model development, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.
Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing AI, data, or engineering teams in a technology-driven organization.
Experience designing and implementing AI strategies in financial services or fintech is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
