About the Role
A leading consumer health and wellness technology business is seeking a Director, Product Analytics to build and lead the analytics function supporting its growing portfolio of digital products.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role will lead a team of product analysts while serving as a strategic advisor to senior Product, Engineering and Marketing leadership. The successful candidate will combine hands-on analytical expertise with strong people leadership, using customer and product data to shape strategy, improve experiences and drive engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop and grow a team of product analysts supporting product squads, growth initiatives and product/lifecycle marketing.
Partner with the Chief Product Officer and senior Product, Engineering and Marketing leaders to drive data-informed product strategy.
Conduct and direct in-depth analysis of product and marketing data to identify opportunities and generate actionable insights.
Define, monitor and communicate key product metrics across the business.
Own the product experimentation practice, enabling teams to design, instrument and evaluate high-quality A/B tests.
Advance experimentation tools and processes to improve the speed and quality of product learning.
Build and execute an insights roadmap balancing analytical depth with speed to insight.
Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations, strategic priorities and product improvements.
Present data-driven findings and narratives to executives and senior stakeholders.
Assess data infrastructure, pipelines and product instrumentation and partner with Data and Engineering teams to improve them.
Remain hands-on with analysis where required while scaling impact through team development, processes and analytical standards.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in applied analytics.
5+ years of experience in product and marketing analytics.
5+ years leading analytics teams, including at least 3 years leading product analytics teams.
Proven experience hiring, developing and retaining high-performing analytics talent.
Strong player-coach approach, combining hands-on analysis with strategic team leadership.
Extensive experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms.
Proficiency with AI-enabled and traditional data analysis tools.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations and product strategies.
Experience using analytics to improve customer engagement and retention.
Strong understanding of data infrastructure, pipelines and product instrumentation.
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from analyst-level working sessions through executive presentations.
Experience working with consumer-facing iOS and Android applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action.
