Senior Developer

About The Role
We are looking for a driven and collaborative professional to join our team and play a key role in delivering and supporting enterprise-level application solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
Manage manufacturing and delivery of IT application, change requests, internally and with SBU Engagement Manager/SMEs to ensure the consistency and proper functioning of the application system and to meet Business needs.
Develop technical solution within the boundaries of the existing ecosystem.
Engage with Squad Lead to develop and manage request deliverables, plan and timeline.
Evaluating business process, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas of improvement, developing and implementing solutions.
Review requirement analysis & SIT testing scope.
Identify potential risks and issues in the delivery process and develop mitigation strategies.
Drive efficiency and effectiveness within the solution delivery function with high-quality standards and adhere to best practices.
Complete understanding of systems usage as it relates to day to day business operations and advocating improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of the solution.
Provide production support and assist in identifying root causes of application lapses.
Provide post-implementation support to the business users related to their areas of supports.
Ensure compliance to all processes, audit and risk matters in the execution of user story.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in application development or a related field.
Experience in the banking or fintech industry is an added advantage.
Proven track record of involvement in at least two projects from development through to production deployment.
Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and SOLID and KISS principles, with the ability to apply them in real-world software solutions.
Hands-on experience in developing and consuming web APIs/web services using Java and Spring Boot.
Proficient in code versioning tools such as Git, including Git Flow practices.
Demonstrated commitment to high-quality software development, including unit testing and CI/CD practices.
Experience working in an Agile development environment as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
High level of work ethic with strong time management and accountability skills.
Experience of leading a technical team is preferred.
