New Product Introduction Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer role based in Gurugram. The NPI Engineer will coordinate the transition of new products from design to manufacturing, ensuring products are production-ready, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with R&D and design teams, defining and validating manufacturing processes, creating and maintaining documentation such as work instructions and test procedures, and supporting pilot builds. The role involves conducting tests and root-cause analysis, managing issues during early production runs, tracking project timelines, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. The NPI Engineer will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, support supplier and vendor integration for new components, and provide technical support to production teams.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, data interpretation, and root-cause analysis.
Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and product development, with the ability to collaborate on design for manufacturability.
Project management skills to plan, coordinate, and track NPI activities, milestones, and deliverables.
Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and qualification of new products and processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechanical, or related field).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and documentation (BOMs, work instructions, test plans).
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with tools such as CAD, PLM/ERP systems, and basic statistical analysis is an advantage.
Experience in telecom or electronics manufacturing environments is preferred.
