Tristram Parker Recruitment is working with a leading UK manufacturer of high-performance roofing, waterproofing and insulation systems as they look to appoint an additional **CAD Technician** to their growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong **AutoCAD skills** and ideally some previous experience within the **construction, roofing or building products sector**.
The successful candidate will support the technical team in designing and calculating bespoke **flat roof insulation and tapered insulation schemes** across a wide range of commercial projects, including major developments within the retail, education and healthcare sectors.
The role will involve:
• Producing CAD drawings and designs for flat roofing and insulation schemes
• Designing and calculating bespoke tapered insulation systems
• Supporting the technical team across multiple live projects
• Interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
• Working closely with colleagues, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Developing the technical knowledge required to independently manage projects
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working within a **contractor, roofing or wider construction environment**, as this practical understanding can be hugely beneficial when designing workable solutions.
**Requirements:**
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Previous CAD / technical design experience
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Roofing, insulation or building envelope experience would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
