Role Description The Project Manager – NGO will lead and oversee program and project implementation in Pune City, ensuring that initiatives align with Spherule Foundation’s rights-based approach and strategic objectives. This full-time, on-site role involves planning project activities, setting timelines, managing budgets, coordinating logistics, and monitoring progress against targets. The Project Manager will collaborate with internal teams, partner organizations, communities, and government stakeholders to ensure effective execution and reporting of projects. Daily responsibilities include supervising field staff, conducting regular reviews and inspections of project activities, preparing documentation and impact reports, and addressing risks or issues that may affect project outcomes. The role also includes contributing to proposal development, supporting donor and stakeholder communication, and continuously improving project processes and systems.
Qualifications
Strong project management skills, including experience with Project Management and Expediting activities in social sector or NGO environments.
Ability to manage end-to-end logistics, with skills in Logistics Management and coordination of resources and materials.
Experience in inspection and monitoring of field activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
Understanding of expeditor responsibilities, including tracking deliverables, following up with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, development studies, management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
Prior experience managing community-based or rights-focused projects, ideally with NGOs or development organizations.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
Proficiency in basic office software and project tracking tools; familiarity with monitoring and evaluation practices is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Pune City, with flexibility to travel to project locations as required.
