Junior AI Engineer - Model Training & Deployment

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join the robotics and automation team to build and deploy deep learning models that enable intelligent robotic work cells in industrial settings. This role offers hands on impact from day one and opportunities to grow into deployment and MLOps responsibilities as the product evolves.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Train and implement deep learning models as part of the core robotics product.
- Iterate on model architectures and training pipelines to improve real world performance.
- Support deployment of trained models to customer environments.
- Collaborate with the ML and robotics team on the technical roadmap.
- Help run models in on site customer and edge environments.
- Participate in experiments and reproducible evaluation to drive improvements.
- Work on site in Munich, Germany as part of the local engineering team.
- Join as an early team member with equity participation.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Entry level or junior experience training deep learning models using Python and PyTorch.
- Proficiency with Python and PyTorch for model development.
- Experience with Docker and comfort in a Linux command line environment.
- Familiarity with Slurm or other cluster scheduling and cloud deployment workflows.
- Experience with ONNX or similar model export tools and interest in edge deployment.
- Background or strong interest in computer vision, robotics, or physical systems deployment.
- Strong analytical mindset and a habit of rigorous experimentation.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- Familiarity with data versioning tools such as DVC.
- Willingness to work on site in Munich as part of the local team.
