Role Description This is a full-time Audit/Account Manager role based in Bihar with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Audit/Account Manager will oversee financial records, review and reconcile accounts, and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with relevant government policies and accounting standards. The role includes planning and executing internal audits, examining financial statements, identifying irregularities or risks, and recommending corrective measures. The individual will prepare audit reports, support budget monitoring, assist in financial planning, and coordinate with program teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance. The Audit/Account Manager will also communicate findings to management, collaborate with external auditors or government agencies when required, and contribute to strengthening internal controls and financial transparency.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and assess financial risks.
Proficiency in finance and financial statements, including general accounting principles, budgeting, and reporting.
Experience in auditing, internal controls, and compliance with public sector or government financial guidelines.
Effective communication skills for preparing clear reports and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
Familiarity with government accounting procedures and rural development programs is preferred.
Ability to work both independently and in teams, manage deadlines, and maintain high ethical standards.
Comfort with basic office and accounting software; experience with ERP or government financial systems is beneficial.
