Senior Health IT Interoperability Engineer
Frost Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build modern healthcare interoperability solutions. You will work across APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services that enable secure, standards-based health information exchange.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and maintain production Health IT systems.
* Build services and APIs using TypeScript, Python, and Java.
* Work with FHIR and HL7 Da Vinci implementation guides.
* Navigate distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
* Collaborate directly with engineers, architects, clients, and other stakeholders.
* Apply AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to improve quality and productivity.
* Contribute to architecture, technical planning, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications
* Senior-level software engineering experience delivering production systems.
* Professional experience with TypeScript, Python, and/or Java, with the ability to work across languages.
* Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture.
* Experience with FHIR and familiarity with HL7 Da Vinci implementation guides.
* Sound engineering judgment, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* Interest in embracing AI as part of modern software development.
Additional Details
* Fully remote in US
* Flexible W-2 employment, 1099 independent contractor, or C2C options.
* Successful completion of a background check is required.
