📢 We're Hiring: Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) — US Client
Newspresso is hiring a DevOps Engineer for a full-time, client-facing role supporting one of our US-based clients. You'll work directly with the client's engineering team, so strong communication skills and comfort owning conversations with stakeholders (not just infra) matter as much as your technical depth.
What you'll do:
Serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for our US client, joining their calls, syncs, and planning sessions directly
Design, manage, and scale Kubernetes infrastructure across environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and manage GitOps-based deployments with ArgoCD
Write automation, tooling, and infra scripts in Python and Shell
Own infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and incident response
Improve deployment velocity and reduce release friction for the client's product team
Use AI-assisted dev tooling (Claude Code or similar) to speed up infra automation, scripting, and troubleshooting workflows
Document infrastructure decisions and maintain runbooks
Communicate proactively and professionally with client stakeholders — this is a client-facing seat, not a purely backend role
What we're looking for:
2-3+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience
Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, services, helm, troubleshooting)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines — Jenkins required, ArgoCD/GitOps experience preferred
Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation
Familiarity with Claude Code or other AI coding/agentic tools is a strong plus
Strong verbal and written communication — comfortable being client-facing and working with US time zone overlap
Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Terraform/IaC, or observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana)
