About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
As an AI Security Specialist in AI Central, you will build, productise, and deploy secure AI-powered products, MVPs, and guardrail mechanisms for regulated sectors. Working in live client contexts, you will turn business challenges and security requirements into threat-resilient solutions that can be tested, adopted, and scaled across Singapore and Asia Pacific.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Product & Security Engineering
Translate client problem statements and security requirements into working prototypes, MVPs, and deployable AI solutions. Build, test, and ship AI-enabled solutions with defensive guardrails and runtime security controls using software engineering, model orchestration, and modern cybersecurity tech. Apply modern AI tooling while engineering safeguards against vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, data leakage, and evasion. Drive fast experiments to validate feasibility, business value, and defensive robustness.
Threat Defense & "Defending the House"
Bring seasoned practitioner's instincts to anticipating vulnerabilities in generative AI and automated systems. Draw on hands-on experience handling live environments to solve real-world cybersecurity problems pragmatically. Balance rapid experimentation with strong engineering discipline, building usable security that protects workloads without bottlenecking delivery.
Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
Work directly with client teams to shape secure AI-enabled products. Assist with secure cyber-organisation practices, embedding security by design. Demonstrate appreciation of risk, helping stakeholders navigate decisions and prioritize security outcomes. Advise client technology and business leaders on AI security investment priorities, architecture decisions, and threat mitigation strategies.
Reusable Assets & Scaling
Build and maintain reusable security patterns, playbooks, and guardrail configurations. Document secure implementation patterns for regional deployment. Support technical onboarding and capability development of engineers, sharing emerging AI security practices across AI Central.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:
Be energised by ambiguity and create clarity through action. You combine product instinct, engineering depth, cybersecurity expertise, and strong judgement. You work well with senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions constructively. You use AI fluently as a practical multiplier across design, code, research, and delivery. You care about shipping real, secure solutions that solve meaningful problems. You move quickly, but you also know where quality, trust, security, and maintainability matter most. You have instincts for "defending the house" paired with appreciation of risk.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent practical experience is equally valued
Strong hands-on engineering ability in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
Frontline Cyber Experience: 2+ years in an active cybersecurity environment exposed to live threats
Applied AI & Tooling Knowledge: Understanding of modern AI tooling, LLM patterns, orchestration, and how to implement effective guardrails
Pragmatic Problem Solving: Instincts for "defending the house" with appreciation of risk
Delivery Judgment: Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound trade-offs across speed, security, scalability, and maintainability
Collaborative Communication: Confidence to discuss security priorities with stakeholders
Understanding of AI-specific security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, evasion, model poisoning, and adversarial attacks
Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, IMDA Model AI Governance, and AI Verify
