Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead interior design projects from concept to completion, including programming, space planning, design development, and coordination with architecture and construction teams. This full-time role is hybrid, with primary work based in Vapi and some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design presentations, selecting materials and finishes, developing FF&E schedules, and producing or reviewing construction drawings to ensure design intent is accurately translated on site. The role involves collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors, managing project timelines and design deliverables, and mentoring junior designers to uphold design quality and standards.
Qualifications
Strong interior design and space planning skills, with experience creating functional, user-centered layouts.
Solid understanding of architecture and coordination between interior design and structural/MEP requirements.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed construction drawings and documentation.
Experience with FF&E selection, specifications, and vendor coordination.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D visualization tools).
Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present and justify design concepts.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage deadlines, and supervise or mentor junior design staff.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with several years of senior-level project experience.
Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in the region.
