The Role
We are seeking a versatile, forward-looking Marketing & Multimedia Content Specialist to scale our presence and amplify our thought leadership to a high-influence audience across defense, national security, federal government, and frontier tech.
In this role, you will promote our work, craft and push out organizational announcements, and lead the modernization of our content engine, leveraging cutting-edge AI-assisted workflows to transform our creative intellectual property (such as artwork and written texts) into impactful visual, audio, video, and written formats across existing and emerging channels.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Accelerated Content Production: ingest long-form research, wargaming scenarios, graphic narratives, and executive discussions to rapidly generate high-impact derivative assets (short-form video, carousels, audiograms, infographic briefs, and thought leadership snippets). Utilize generative AI audio/video and workflow automation tools to scale editing velocity while maintaining bespoke production standards.
Multi-Channel Growth & Distribution: own end-to-end scheduling, copy, and audience engagement across core channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Substack/Beehiiv, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging niche professional networks). Build and execute channel strategies to launch and scale new formats, including targeted YouTube programming, podcasts, and video series.
Strategic Newsletter & Publications: curate, design, and deploy a high-value regular newsletter highlighting our latest projects, analytical insights, and industry impact. Optimize open rates, click-through performance, and list growth among key decision-makers.
Web & Digital Asset Management: maintain and update web properties (CMS), ensuring portfolio pieces, press features, and interactive assets are seamlessly integrated. Implement best practices for SEO, metadata, and cross-platform tagging.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strategic Translation: exceptional knack for distilling dense, technical, or highly specialized geopolitical and defense concepts into sharp, engaging, and accurate narratives.
Sector Familiarity: understanding of the national security, defense innovation, and enterprise tech ecosystem (fluency in the lexicon, key themes, and communication norms of this space is a strong advantage).
Advanced AI Literacy & Workflow Integration: hands-on proficiency with generative AI video, audio, and visual tools (e.g., OpusClip, Runway, ElevenLabs, Descript, Midjourney, Claude/ChatGPT for prompt-assisted structuring), and an experimental mindset that actively identifies new AI tools to streamline content pipelines without sacrificing voice or accuracy.
Multimedia & Design Fluency: strong editing capabilities in modern suites (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Descript), and proficiency in visual design using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator to produce clean, executive-ready graphics.
Publishing Platforms & CMS: experience managing modern newsletter stacks (Beehiiv, Substack, HubSpot) and website platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
Autonomous Execution: high agency, organizational discipline, and project management skills to own editorial calendars, meet tight publication cadences, and proactively propose new creative directions.

Compensation & Retainer Structure
Target Hourly Rate: $35 USD / hour
Estimated Bandwidth: ~5 to 10 hours per week (Flexible / Part-Time). Additional pre-approved hours billed at the baseline agreed hourly rate.
Payment Terms: Monthly invoicing with Net-15 terms.
