Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Development to lead strategic partnerships and corporate development initiatives.
This executive will report directly to the CEO, assist in formulating the company's growth strategy, and establish business relationships across financial services, fintech, blockchain, and institutional markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a candidate who thrives in an early-stage startup environment and enjoys building a business from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company's corporate development strategy.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, and investments.
Build relationships with financial institutions, technology providers, blockchain companies, investors, and other market participants.
Lead financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and deal execution.
Support fundraising activities and investor relations/negotiations.
Evaluate new markets, products, and revenue-generating opportunities.
Collaborate with legal and compliance advisors on licensing applications, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
Work with product, technology, finance, and operations teams to drive strategic initiatives.
Prepare business cases and proposals for the CEO and Board of Directors.
Support post-transaction integration and monitor the performance of completed deals and partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA or higher degree preferred.
Over 12 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fintech, digital assets, or financial services.
Proven track record in leading partnerships, acquisitions, investments, fundraising, or market expansion projects.
Exceptional skills in financial modeling, valuation, negotiation, and presentation.
Familiarity with blockchain, digital assets, derivatives, or options markets is preferred. Familiarity with U.S. financial regulations and market access requirements for regulated entities is preferred.
Exceptional executive-level communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $185,000 – $258,000, depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and location.
