Role Description The Business Broker role is a full-time remote position responsible for managing business sale and acquisition processes from prospecting to closing. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing and qualifying sellers and buyers, conducting preliminary business valuations, preparing marketing packages, and presenting opportunities to prospective buyers. The Business Broker will coordinate due diligence, manage communications between parties, and support negotiations in collaboration with lenders, legal counsel, and other stakeholders. This role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, updating CRM records, and leveraging data-driven insights to advise clients on pricing, positioning, and deal structures. The individual will work independently while adhering to firm processes, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Business Brokerage and Brokerage skills to manage listings, transactions, and client relationships effectively.
Business Valuation and Finance skills to analyze financial statements, assess market value, and support deal structuring.
General Business acumen to understand diverse business models, operational drivers, and industry dynamics.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to work with buyers, sellers, lenders, and legal counsel.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience in business brokerage, investment banking, commercial lending, or related fields is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with CRM tools, financial analysis software, and standard office productivity applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
