Role Description The Estimator role at Kaprel is a full-time, hybrid position based in Hyderabad. The Estimator will review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for acoustic glass partition systems. Daily responsibilities include analyzing material and labor requirements, requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, and preparing detailed proposals and bid submissions. The Estimator will collaborate closely with sales, design, and project delivery teams to clarify technical requirements, optimize solutions, and support pricing strategies. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date cost databases, tracking market price trends, and assisting in post-tender negotiations and variations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong estimation and quantity surveying skills, including experience with take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis for interior or construction projects.
Candidates should possess technical skills related to reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, understanding building materials, and familiarity with acoustic or glass partition systems (or willingness to learn).
Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, estimation or QS software, and basic CAD or drawing review tools.
Candidates should possess planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with sales, design, procurement, and project teams, as well as external suppliers and contractors.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field are preferred.
Previous experience in interior fit-out, façades, glass systems, or related construction estimating roles will be considered an advantage.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment from Hyderabad, demonstrating reliability, self-motivation, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
