Role Description The Retail Construction Project Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing retail construction projects from planning through closeout. Day-to-day, this role coordinates schedules, budgets, and resources; manages general contractors and vendors; and ensures materials and equipment are ordered and expedited to meet project timelines. The Project Manager conducts or arranges inspections, monitors construction progress, and addresses onsite issues in collaboration with field teams. This role also manages logistics, including delivery sequencing and site readiness, and maintains accurate documentation such as reports, change orders, and punch lists. Regular communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners is required to ensure alignment on scope, quality standards, and expectations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including Project Management, scheduling, budgeting, and scope control.
Candidates should possess expediting-focused skills, such as Expeditor experience and Expediting of materials, permits, and contractor schedules.
Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, including Inspection coordination, quality assurance, and adherence to building codes and safety standards.
Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including Logistics Management, vendor coordination, and oversight of deliveries and site readiness.
Experience managing multi-site or national retail construction projects is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with construction management software, project tracking tools, and standard office applications is preferred.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Relevant education or certifications in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field are an advantage.
