About the Role
American Lithium Energy is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives, develop high-value commercial relationships, and expand business opportunities across the advanced battery and energy storage markets.
This executive-level role will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify new markets, establish strategic partnerships, develop key customer relationships, and execute initiatives that support the company's long-term growth objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial leadership with experience developing partnerships and navigating complex, technology-driven markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company's business development and strategic growth initiatives.
Identify and pursue new customers, markets, partnerships, and commercial opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
Lead commercial discussions, partnership negotiations, and strategic business opportunities.
Develop market-entry and account-growth strategies for priority sectors.
Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic business opportunities.
Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to develop commercially viable solutions.
Support negotiations involving strategic partnerships, long-term commercial agreements, and major customer relationships.
Establish business development objectives, performance metrics, and growth priorities.
Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and strategic partnership discussions.
Provide senior leadership with market intelligence and recommendations regarding growth opportunities.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commercial leadership, sales leadership, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience developing and closing complex B2B commercial opportunities.
Strong executive-level relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
Experience developing strategic partnerships and long-term customer relationships.
Strong understanding of technology-driven or industrial markets.
Ability to translate market opportunities into actionable commercial strategies.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across technical, operational, financial, and commercial teams.
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
