Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a SAP PP Oil/Gas Consultant W@. The consultant will design, configure, and support SAP PP solutions tailored to oil and gas operations, ensuring alignment with business processes and industry best practices. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and analyzing requirements, mapping processes, managing master data, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize production planning. The role also involves providing consulting support, troubleshooting system issues, coordinating with SAP FICO and other modules, preparing documentation, and assisting with user training and testing activities.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of business process design and optimization within production planning and oil/gas operations.
Demonstrated analytical skills for translating complex operational needs into SAP PP configurations and solutions.
Consulting experience in SAP environments, including stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering, and solution delivery.
Hands-on experience with SAP PP and integration with SAP FICO, including cost flows and financial impact of production processes.
Proficiency in managing and maintaining master data related to materials, BOMs, routings, and production resources.
Experience working in or with the oil and gas industry is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
