The Container Yard Attendant maintains yard cleanliness, executes container processing operations, supports logistics activities, and upholds safety/environmental standards to ensure efficient fleet and yard operations.
Facility & Yard Maintenance
Clean wash bays, garages, infrastructure, and yard areas per 5S standards.
Maintain equipment and workstations pre-/post-shift.
Container Operations:
Wash and prepare containers to meet export requirements.
Inspect containers using checklists; record numbers and assign to wash/repair bays.
Logistics Support
Assist in pallet loading, material transfers, and container movements using provided equipment (e.g., forklifts).
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and support site-wide quality/environmental initiatives.
Administration
Complete required paperwork and documentation
Minimum
Form 6 completion + experience in similar roles.
1–2 years in logistics equipment operation (preferred).
Valid Group 9/Forklift license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Technical logistics experience.
Strong written/verbal communication skills.
