Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Surat. The Mechanical Design Engineer will create and develop mechanical concepts, layouts, and detailed designs for machines and automated systems. Daily responsibilities include preparing 3D models and 2D drawings in CAD software, performing design calculations, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting prototype build and testing, and incorporating feedback into design improvements. The engineer will also maintain design documentation, assist in resolving technical issues during production, and contribute to ongoing optimization of existing products and systems.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world design challenges.
Experience in Design Engineering and Product Design, with skills in developing concepts, layouts, and detailed component designs.
Proficiency in Machine Design, including selection and integration of mechanical components and mechanisms.
Hands-on expertise with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams.
Experience with industrial automation, materials selection, or finite element analysis (FEA) is an advantage.
