Role Description The Sr. Safety and Technical Consultant is a full-time role based in the Pune division, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows partial work from home. This role is responsible for providing expert technical support on vehicle systems and safety standards, advising internal teams and customers on best practices, and driving compliance with regulatory and company safety policies. Day-to-day activities include diagnosing complex technical issues, coordinating troubleshooting efforts, preparing safety and technical documentation, and delivering training or briefings to relevant stakeholders. The consultant will collaborate closely with engineering, service, and sales teams to resolve customer concerns, support pre- and post-sales activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety and product performance. The role also involves analyzing data from field reports and service records to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data, field reports, and safety metrics, and to derive actionable insights.
Consulting experience, including advising cross-functional teams and customers on safety, technical solutions, and process improvements.
Hands-on technical support and troubleshooting skills related to automotive systems, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
Exposure to sales or customer-facing activities, supporting technical pre-sales, after-sales service, and solution presentations.
Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in safety or automotive standards are an advantage.
Knowledge of automotive safety regulations, industry standards, and quality management practices.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
