We are looking for an experienced Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Electronic Payments to support the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of electronic payment solutions.
📅 Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

⏰ Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM IST

🎓 Qualification
Minimum 7 years of experience in electronic payment systems, preferably in card management, issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing, or settlement.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of electronic payment architecture, transaction processing, and payment lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with HPS PowerCARD or similar payment platforms is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of ISO 8583, ISO 20022, payment schemes, and industry standards.
Strong experience in functional analysis, business requirements gathering, and functional specification writing.
Good understanding of technical design, APIs, interfaces, data mapping, batch processing, and system integration.
Experience with Java, C, PL/SQL, Oracle/PostgreSQL, UNIX/Linux, and Shell scripting.
Experience in SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect analysis, and end-to-end payment testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across both business and technical teams.
Good command of English, both written and verbal.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Analyze and translate client business requirements related to electronic payments, issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing, and settlement into detailed functional specifications.
Act as the functional and technical SME for payment processes, transaction lifecycles, business rules, and exception handling.
Ensure functional requirements are aligned with technical architecture, data models, interfaces, APIs, and system capabilities.
Support development teams in implementing payment workflows, business rules, configurations, and data mappings.
Support and validate HPS PowerCARD configurations and payment processing functionalities.
Perform impact analysis for system enhancements, regulatory changes, and new payment scheme requirements.
Participate in SIT, UAT, regression, and end-to-end testing of payment solutions.
Review test scenarios, test cases, and results to ensure compliance with business requirements and payment standards.
Analyze and support resolution of payment processing issues, defects, and production incidents.
Review system logs and assist with debugging and performance diagnosis when required.
Maintain functional and technical documentation related to payment processes and solution designs.
Monitor relevant payment standards, scheme rules, and regulatory requirements.
Provide functional and technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and training to internal teams and stakeholders.
