The Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Manager – Resorts & Hospitality to establish and grow the Spanish market for an international company expanding its European presence.
The role will focus on developing business with resorts, hotels, hospitality groups and leisure destinations, introducing a premium leisure proposition designed to enhance guest experience, differentiation and additional revenue opportunities.
This is a hands-on new-business role requiring strong knowledge of the Spanish hospitality market and the ability to build a territory from the ground up. This positioning aligns with the commercial strategy of selling hospitality partners an experience and business outcome rather than simply a product.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business across the Spanish hospitality market.
Prospect and build relationships with resorts, hotels and hospitality groups.
Engage relevant senior decision-makers and commercial stakeholders.
Manage opportunities from prospecting through presentation, negotiation and closure.
Identify pilot properties and strategic hospitality partnerships.
Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline.
Conduct customer presentations and demonstrations.
Develop relationships that can expand into multi-property opportunities.
Provide market intelligence, customer feedback and sales forecasts.
Travel regularly within Spain for customer and business-development activities.
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with meaningful experience within hotels, resorts, hospitality or tourism.
Demonstrated experience personally generating new business, rather than primarily managing existing accounts.
Experience taking opportunities from prospecting through negotiation and commercial closure.
Professional experience developing business within the Spanish market.
Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
Currently based in Spain.
Willing and able to travel regularly across Spain.
Comfortable with a 12-month contractual engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
Established relationships with hotels, resorts or hospitality groups in Spain.
Experience within luxury, premium or upscale hospitality.
Relationships with hotel General Managers, Commercial Directors, Operations Leaders, ownership groups or hospitality management companies.
Experience introducing a new product, service or guest-experience proposition into the hospitality market.
Experience establishing a new territory or market from the ground up.
Experience developing multi-property or hotel-group partnerships.
Exposure to hospitality initiatives involving guest experience, leisure or ancillary revenue generation.
Ideal Profile
A well-connected, commercially driven hospitality professional who understands the Spanish market, has a genuine hunter mentality, can open doors with hospitality decision-makers, and can independently develop relationships into sustainable commercial partnerships.
