About the Role
Our client, a leading global FMCG firm, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Warehousing & Inventory Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their team. This full-time, on-site role in Mumbai is crucial for driving the design validation, harmonization, optimization, and implementation of Warehousing and Inventory Management processes within the SAP S/4HANA landscape. This is a 12+ month engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Own the regional SAP S/4HANA Logistics Operations/EWM data scope across APAC markets, plants, and functions.
Lead data discovery, fit-gap analysis, harmonization, and governance in alignment with global standards.
Drive SAP ECC to S/4HANA data migration, including profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, mock loads, and reconciliation.
Define and validate mapping for key WM/EWM master data objects, including warehouse structures, storage bins/types, shipping points, transportation lanes, handling units, and warehouse product master.
Facilitate workshops with business SMEs, data owners, Global Data Teams, and implementation partners to resolve gaps and agree on design decisions.
Validate data extraction rules, transformation logic, mapping documents, and migration results.
Lead regional data quality, testing, defect management, and business sign-off activities.
Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and transition to Business As Usual (BAU), resolving post-migration data issues.
Prepare and maintain Key Data Definitions (KDDs), mapping/validation documents, training materials, and status reports in line with governance standards.
Act as the regional SME and primary point of contact for LogOps/EWM data migration, governance, and stakeholder coordination.
Identify opportunities for data quality improvement, standardization, and continuous improvement across APAC.
Requirements and Qualifications
7+ years of SAP Master Data experience in Logistics Operations, SAP WM/LE/EWM, preferably with SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation and data migration projects; minimum of 2 transformation programs preferred.
Strong knowledge of SAP WM/LE to S/4HANA Embedded EWM migration.
Expertise in EWM/LogOps data objects including Warehouse Structure, Storage Bins, Storage Types, Shipping Points, Transportation Lanes, Handling Units, and Warehouse Product Master.
Strong understanding of data profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and mock/trial migration.
Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA integration with end-to-end supply chain processes such as MTI, S2P, and O2C.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with attention to data quality and detail.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across regional, global, business, and IT teams.
Experience facilitating workshops, fit-gap sessions, design discussions, testing, and business sign-offs.
Strong understanding of data governance, standardization, controls, and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and timelines in a large-scale transformation environment.
Experience working with global/regional teams and implementation partners in a multicultural environment.
Minimum 5 years of overall experience required.
