If you have a desire to make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you!Position Summary:We are seeking a Spanish Translator to support our organization’s communication and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, detail-oriented, and culturally aware. You will be responsible for translating written materials and, when needed, assisting with verbal interpretation to ensure clear and accurate communication across teams and with community members.Note: Even if you do not meet all the listed qualifications, we encourage you to apply. We value your contribution, even if it's just 2 hours a week—your time can truly make a difference.Due to our exponential growth, having experienced professional support is crucialKey ResponsibilitiesTranslate documents, outreach materials, program resources, social media content, and internal communications from English to Spanish and vice versa.
Ensure translations maintain the original tone, intent, and cultural sensitivity of the message.
Assist with live or virtual interpretation during meetings, community events, or outreach initiatives as needed.
Review and proofread translated materials for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
Collaborate with program leaders and communications staff to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Skills:Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
Strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages.
Cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse communities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple translation requests within deadlines.
Prior translation or interpretation experience is preferred but not required.
