Role Description The KNX System Designer & Integrator will be responsible for designing, configuring, and documenting KNX-based automation systems for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating system architectures, developing wiring and layout plans, and using CAD tools to produce detailed diagrams and schematics. The role involves selecting appropriate electronic components and devices, integrating them into KNX networks, and performing functional testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation. The individual will conduct research on products, standards, and best practices, and collaborate with clients or project stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose solutions. This is a part-time remote role, requiring effective self-management and clear online communication.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Systems Design and integration for building or home automation projects.
Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating layouts, schematics, and documentation.
Solid understanding of Electronics, including sensors, actuators, and control devices relevant to KNX systems.
Experience in Testing, troubleshooting, and validating system performance and reliability.
Ability to conduct technical Research on KNX standards, compatible devices, and emerging automation technologies.
Familiarity with KNX topology, addressing, and configuration tools (e.g., ETS) is highly beneficial.
Good written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration and client interaction.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
Relevant technical education or certifications in electronics, electrical engineering, automation, or a related field are advantageous.
