Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Draughtsman role based in Chennai. The Draughtsman will prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications and instructions from engineers and project leads. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating 2D and 3D drawings, revising designs according to feedback, and ensuring that all drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements. The role involves maintaining drawing records, coordinating with the engineering team to clarify technical details, and supporting documentation for approvals and construction. The Draughtsman is expected to meet project deadlines, maintain accuracy in all deliverables, and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong technical drawing and drafting skills, with proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of basic engineering principles relevant to structural, mechanical, or civil design.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control in all drafted documents.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, supervisors, and project teams.
Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Relevant technical diploma or certification in Drafting, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline is preferred.
Prior experience in an engineering design or construction environment, particularly in Chennai or similar markets, will be an added advantage.
