We are looking for an experienced SAP HR ABAP Developer to build, enhance, and support SAP HCM solutions across Payroll (PY), Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), and Time Management (TM).
The role involves hands-on ABAP development, HR/payroll technical solutions, integrations, performance optimization, testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
SAP ABAP Development
Develop and maintain Classical & ALV Reports, Custom Transactions, Module Pool Programs, and Background Jobs.
Develop enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Spots.
Develop data conversion and migration programs using BDC, LSMW, and BAPIs.
Develop forms using SAPscript, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
Develop and consume OData services and REST APIs.
Analyze, implement, and regression-test relevant SAP OSS Notes.
Optimize ABAP programs and follow SAP coding and security standards.
SAP HR / Payroll
Work across PY, PA, OM, and TM modules.
Develop HR-specific objects including Infotype Enhancements, Custom Infotypes, Dynamic Actions, Logical Databases, and HR Macros.
Support payroll cycles, statutory reporting, and period-end activities from the technical side.
Develop payroll, bank file, statutory, and third-party interfaces.
Integration & Interfaces
Develop and support integrations using BAPI, RFC, ALE, and IDoc.
Work on integrations between SAP HR and downstream systems such as FI, time-capture, benefits, and external/vendor platforms.
Handle file-based and API-based integrations with reconciliation and exception handling.
Analysis & Delivery
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Prepare technical specifications, test data, and technical documentation.
Perform unit and integration testing and support UAT.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
Manage transports, deployment, version control, and documentation.
Work with SAP ASAP / Activate methodologies.
Must-Have Skills
4–6 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience
Strong experience in SAP HR / HCM
Working knowledge of Payroll (PY), PA, OM & TM
Classical & ALV Reports
Dialog Programming / Module Pool
BDC / LSMW
BAdIs, User Exits & Enhancement Framework
SAPscript, Smart Forms & Adobe Forms
BAPI, RFC, ALE & IDocs
OData / REST APIs
Data conversion and migration
SAP OSS Notes
Strong understanding of HR & Payroll business processes

Qualification
B.E./B.Tech or MCA from a recognized institution
SAP ABAP or HCM certification will be an added advantage.
