Head MEP- Utilities

The Head MEP Utilities is responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, and performance of a facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, supervises maintenance teams, and implements strategies to improve building efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. By overseeing system operations and preventive maintenance programs, the Head MEP Utilities plays a critical role in optimizing facility performance and ensuring a safe, reliable environment.
Duties
Direct and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for all facility systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve system reliability.
Ensure compliance with local and building and safety codes.
Lead and mentor engineering staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
Monitor building automation systems to enhance energy efficiency and cost savings.
Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.
Address emergency maintenance issues and develop response plans.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and compliance.
Assist in budget planning and forecasting for maintenance and capital projects.
Manage outsource technical staff , attendance and performance.
To ensure Un interrupted Engineering services 24 x 7 to the organization
Monitor & Manage daily consumptions of Utilities such as Electricity/Gas /Water .
Ensure safe and clean work environment for the engineering staff .
Ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment and Proper tools to Workers .
Plan , execute and commission new projects .
Plan and execute and Major Maintenance activities .
Attend management meeting’s and provide updates on major MEP Activities .
New vendor development .
Ensure instructions and guidelines given by the management are followed .
Ensure Fitout guidelines are followed by the MEP service contractors at Site .
Provide Technical inputs and solutions for MEP Related Projects and Services .
Responsibilities
To evaluate technical Scopes and SLA of Service providers and Contractors.
Verify and authorize invoices for materials and services provided by outsource vendors.
Verify and authorize Energy Bills from Power Distribution Company.
Ensure accurate billing for Utility services provided to consumers .
Authorize leaves and assess performance of the Sub ordinate reporting staff .
Ensure Quality of work and Timely completion of Technical works at site .
Verify and authorize SLD and Engineering drawings .
Ensure trouble free operations of all equipment’s related to MEP .
Ensure critical Spares availability for the Major Equipment’s at all times .
Ensure availability of Consumable spares and stock transfers for daily consumption.
Approve Purchase requests for new and replacement materials in SAP.
Approve Quality Checks of all material received for MEP use in SAP .
Provide Monthly Management Reports for MEP Services .
Maintain all Licenses and Approvals for the equipment , co ordinate for renewal if any .
Approve As Built drawings , and completion Certificates .
Take approvals and Permissions from the management for Proposed projects
