About the Team and the Role: The Manufacturing Operations team at Ather is responsible for managing, maintaining, and scaling manufacturing plant assets and ensuring high uptime, efficiency, and reliability across all production machinery and systems.
This role is for a Maintenance Manager to spearhead preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, direct shift maintenance operations, eliminate equipment breakdowns, and oversee equipment integration and project execution.
Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and govern comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and transition operations away from reactive maintenance.
Direct end-to-end shift maintenance operations, monitor daily maintenance logs, and effectively delegate tasks to technicians based on technical competencies.
Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) across machine subsystems and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to rapidly troubleshoot and resolve breakdown issues.
Troubleshoot, rectify, and upgrade PLCs, electronic interlocks, and process integration to advance Industry 4.0 automation and plant readiness.
Manage maintenance operational expenses, oversee department budgets, and execute forecasting, procurement, and inventory control for critical spare parts.
Ensure routine calibration, manage periodic servicing of all equipment subsystems, and facilitate the seamless introduction and commissioning of new machinery.
Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while evaluating new technical tools and methodologies to improve productivity and lower operating costs.
Foster shop-floor operational excellence by driving Kaizen and 5S initiatives, upskilling technical team members, and supporting greenfield or central project execution.
