Company Description
CQuester Technologies is a farmer-first climate tech platform generating high-quality carbon credits from regenerative farming, rice methane reduction, agroforestry, biochar, and other nature-based solutions. We partner with farmers, NGOs, FPOs, and project developers to digitize field operations and apply robust MRV (measurement, reporting, verification) for transparent climate and soil impact. We also help aggregate sustainable produce for climate-smart market access, and provide the operational tools to run scalable, auditable sustainable agriculture programs.
Role Description
The Carbon Project Lead – Nature-Based Solutions is a full-time, on-site role in Pune, owning end-to-end design and execution of carbon projects in regenerative agriculture and other nature-based interventions. You'll work with farmers, NGOs, FPOs, and project developers to identify opportunities, structure projects, and keep field operations aligned with carbon methodologies and quality standards — coordinating field data collection, overseeing monitoring tools, and driving strong MRV for emissions reductions. You'll draft project documentation, liaise with validation and verification bodies, support project registration on carbon standards, and work with product, data, and operations teams to keep projects scalable and impactful.
Qualifications
Strong grounding in nature-based climate solutions — regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, soil health, carbon removal
Experience managing carbon/climate projects: planning, stakeholder coordination, on-ground rural implementation
Familiarity with carbon standards and MRV (baselines, data protocols, emissions calculations, validation/verification reporting)
Comfort with digital field-data tools, monitoring dashboards, and basic data analysis
Strong communication skills across farmers, NGOs, FPOs, and internal teams
Background in environmental science, agriculture, sustainability, or climate policy (advanced training in carbon markets/climate finance a plus)
Strong problem-solving and ability to juggle multiple projects and field partners
Based on-site in Pune, with periodic travel to project locations
