Role Description As an Estimator at Prime Estimators Private Limited, you will work full time on-site in Madurai, preparing detailed cost estimates for construction and related projects. You will review drawings, specifications, and scope documents; quantify materials and labor; and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations. The role involves developing and updating cost databases, preparing bid documents, and supporting pricing strategies for tenders and proposals. You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to validate assumptions, clarify project requirements, and refine estimates throughout the project lifecycle. The Estimator also contributes to risk assessments, cost comparisons, and post-project cost reviews to improve future estimating accuracy.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimation or quantity takeoff software; comfort with general office productivity tools.
Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, labor rates, and local market pricing; prior experience in estimating or quantity surveying is an advantage.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and clients; ability to present and justify cost estimates clearly.
Detail-oriented work approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
Relevant educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Commitment to ethical practices, accuracy, and continuous improvement in estimating methods and tools.
